DESCRIPTION:This event is part of the CFNS Workshop/Ad-Hoc Meeting series.
  See the CFNS conferences page for other events.\n \nThis five-day works
 hop will bring together theorists and experimentalists to discuss precisio
 n QCD physics at the Electron-Ion Collider and the scientific opportunitie
 s offered by a potential second interaction region. The program will addre
 ss higher-order QCD and electroweak corrections\, precision determinations
  of parton distribution and fragmentation functions\, jet and semi-inclusi
 ve processes\, transverse-momentum-dependent phenomena\, small-\\(x\\) dyn
 amics\, and novel observables sensitive to the multidimensional structure 
 of the proton and nuclei.\nA central focus will be the high-energy physics
  potential of a dedicated second detector\, including its complementarity 
 with ePIC\, opportunities enabled by specialized particle-identification a
 nd muon-detection capabilities\, and possible connections to physics beyon
 d the Standard Model. Extended presentations and ample discussion time wil
 l encourage the identification of key theoretical calculations\, experimen
 tal requirements\, and new collaborations needed to fully exploit the EIC.
  Early-career researchers and scientists from communities adjacent to the 
 EIC are especially encouraged to participate.\n \nThis workshop is hosted
