Description

I will first review what we know about the momentum distributions of partons in the proton (known as PDFs) and how we came to know it. Then I will present what has been gained using LHC data and why precision PDFs are needed to identify subtle effects of Beyond Standard Model physics. I will highlight the limitations of present PDF extractions and the prospects for future improvement from the EIC.

Coffee will be served at 2:30 PM.
